Journey launched Journey LIVE, a subscription iOS app that streams live 15‑minute group meditation classes with video and voice interaction and a daily newly recorded on‑demand session. Instructors introduce meditation theories, guide sessions, answer typed questions and can call out participants by screen name to increase engagement. Sessions run most waking hours and users can see or hide a list of other participants to create a communal experience. Subscriptions start at $19.99 per month after a one‑week free trial, drop to $7.99 per month with an annual launch discount, or users can buy a $399 lifetime pass. Founder Stephen Sokoler started Journey in 2015 to bring meditation to corporate environments and is positioning Journey LIVE to democratize access for consumers. The company says its beta saw better retention than competitors, though it faces pricing and scale competition from Calm and Headspace. Journey raised external funding to support the product launch and growth.
