Eco Baltia provides waste treatment and management services across Latvia and the Baltic states. The company is advancing a mechanical biological treatment plant for household waste, focused on extracting recyclable materials from household waste. It intends to use the €10m investment to finance construction of that plant, described as first of its kind in the region. Set up in 2002, Eco Baltia is led by Māris Simanovičs, Chairman of the Board. The firm is the largest waste management operator in the Baltic region and employs over 450 people.
