Overview
Led by CEO Alex Wilcox, JetSuite operates JetSuiteX, an affordable private-jet service that emphasizes convenience and low-friction travel. JetSuiteX features 15-minute check-in, free Wi‑Fi, free checked bags, free seat assignments, free drinks and snacks. The service flies 30-passenger jets on routes including Burbank, Las Vegas, San Jose, Carlsbad, Concord, Mammoth and Bozeman, with more destinations and flights coming soon. JetSuite has an existing partnership with JetBlue’s TrueBlue program so members can earn points on JetSuiteX flights. The company received a minority equity investment from JetBlue Airways; the amount of the deal was disclosed as undisclosed in the announcement. JetSuite intends to use the funds to accelerate growth of its JetSuiteX service and to explore further cooperation with JetBlue, including potential benefits for Mosaic customers. JetSuite operates private-jet service using a fleet of Embraer Phenom 100 planes, flying throughout the Southwest, the Continental U.S., Canada and Mexico. The company recently secured a $7 million investment led by Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh. JetSuite will use the financing to purchase two additional Embraer Phenom 100 aircraft to expand its fleet. The investment is intended in part to increase the number of flights between Las Vegas and San Francisco and to help shorten travel time between downtown Las Vegas and Silicon Valley/LA. JetSuite highlights the convenience of private service, including avoiding airport security and faster door-to-door travel. Tony Hsieh will join JetSuite’s board as part of the investment.
