Judo Payments builds mobile-optimized card processing tools for developers, offering RESTful APIs and SDKs for iOS and Android. Its single server-call architecture and “in-app intelligence” aim to reduce card-entry errors and simplify integration with a single line of code. The platform provides instant Merchant Accounts and control over funds flow, with a subscription pricing model starting at £19.99/month. After a year-long beta the company reports around 2,500 merchants on its platform who pay on a subscription basis. Judo has been operating in the UK since July of last year and is promoting growth via a £1M free card-processing competition for mobile-first UK customers. Financially, the company launched with an initial $5M seed round (terms undisclosed) to support its mobile-first product expansion.
