Jura Bio has built an end-to-end generative machine learning and synthetic biology platform to discover and develop genetic medicines, with a specific focus on the TCR-epitope-HLA synapse. The company is working to map any antigen-HLA pair to corresponding T cell receptors to enable therapeutics for oncology and autoimmune disease. Jura announced a research collaboration with Syena, a cell therapy product company and subsidiary of Replay, that includes an upfront payment and research funding for the partnership period. Under the collaboration, if an option is exercised Replay and Syena would take responsibility for global development and hold exclusive worldwide commercialization rights for resulting TCR-NK therapies. Jura would be eligible for development, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, tiered deferred option payments on global net sales, and royalties on products using licensed technologies. Founded in 2017 by Julie Norville, Ph.D. (CSO) and Elizabeth Wood, Ph.D. (CEO), Jura is based in Boston, MA and intends to use the new funding to accelerate its development efforts.
