Overview
Juventas is developing CAR‑T cell therapies for blood cancers, with lead candidate CNCT19 targeting CD19 to treat acute lymphoblastic leukemia and relapsed non‑Hodgkin lymphoma. CNCT19 was created at the Institute of Hematology at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and is being developed in partnership with CASI Pharmaceuticals. The company also has a CD19/CD20 CAR‑T in pre‑IND development for non‑Hodgkin lymphoma, along with other cellular-based products in preclinical and exploratory studies. Juventas closed a $63M Series C to advance CNCT19 and support an NDA filing and future commercialization planning. CASI shares global co‑commercial and profit‑sharing rights for CNCT19 and indirectly owns a 12% equity stake in Juventas; CASI said it welcomed the fundraise. The raise comes amid a broader biotech funding boom in China focused on areas like CAR‑T. Founded in 2018, 合源生物 focuses on研发 and development of novel immune cell therapy drugs aimed at treating malignant hematologic and solid tumors. Its lead product, CNCT19, has had a clinical trial application formally accepted by the National Medical Products Administration. The company emphasizes clinic-driven pipeline construction and operates a high-efficiency R&D translation platform alongside strict production and quality systems. 合源生物 plans to use the new A+ round proceeds to increase R&D investment, advance clinical studies, and build GMP production facilities. It currently maintains a 1,300 sqm R&D center in Beijing and a 1,400 sqm GMP immune-cell R&D and production facility in Tianjin, and is constructing a 7,000 sqm GMP production base. The company aims to provide safe, effective, and accessible immune cell therapy products to global cancer patients.
