Overview
Kado develops ultra-thin charging technology embedded in compact chargers for smartphones, tablets and laptops. Its flagship products include the Kado Wallet — a 5mm-thin, 21-gram charger that supplies up to 10W — and the Kado Sleeve for laptops, a 97-gram unit that provides up to 70W and two USB ports. The company is also developing additional peripherals such as dedicated cables, covers and other modular units to complete its charging experience. Founded in May 2016 and based in Lod, Israel, Kado had 11 employees and plans to hire specialists in analog power conversion, mechanics and materials. In February 2017 it secured $1.2M in seed funding from backers including AltaIR Capital and intends to use the funds to continue development of its wall charger ahead of commercial launch plans.
