Overview
Kaizen Platform operates an optimization technology platform and a global network of "Optimizers" and runs Kaizen Ad, a solution for maximizing digital and video advertising performance. The company connects marketers with growth hackers for rapid A/B testing and improvement proposals to improve website and ad creative performance. Kaizen Platform plans to expand its rapidly growing Kaizen Ad video-ad business and build an open marketplace to broaden creator participation. It formed a strategic alliance with Dentsu and Dentsu Digital after the co-developed Quick Video service, launched in June 2017, produced strong results. The company has improved website and advertising performance for over 300 customers and aims to visualize creator performance to create new workstyles and employment opportunities. As of this Series C, Kaizen Platform has raised an accumulated total of 2.63 billion JPY and will use the new funding to accelerate platform and marketplace initiatives. Kaizen runs a marketplace of user interface designers combined with optimization testing tools that let clients present projects, select proposals, and experiment to improve key performance indicators. The platform connects clients to over 2,900 UI designers and splits revenue between Kaizen and designers whose proposals are picked for testing. Kaizen differentiates from A/B testing vendors by hosting its own marketplace and positions itself as a faster, cheaper alternative to digital consulting agencies. The company reports about 170 corporate clients, including Japan Airline, Yahoo, and Nestle, and claims its site improvements have generated $200 million in additional sales for clients. Kaizen has focused on enterprise customers but plans to launch a subscription model to serve smaller organizations like non-profits and startups. It is targeting expansion in the United States, the UK, and the Asia-Pacific region. Kaizen Platform provides an enterprise marketing solution that combines multi-channel marketing collaboration software with expert designers and copywriters to help brands, agencies, and freelancers create and test experiences. The company’s platform streamlines sourcing, creating, and optimizing content and media across mobile, social, display, and landing-page channels. Kaizen recently launched its K2 platform and intends to refine it using the new funding. Leadership is led by Erik Ford, COO and acting CMO. Kaizen maintains offices in San Francisco and Tokyo and serves Asia‑Pacific clients including Nestle, Dannon, and Yahoo!. The company raised an additional $4m to support product refinement and expansion in the U.S. and internationally.
