Kanova is a China-based biotherapeutics developer focused on antibodies targeting cancer and autoimmune diseases. Founded in 2015, the company says it has developed three first-in-class drugs and one best-in-class drug, plus earlier-stage candidates targeting tumour immunity and autoimmune disease. Its first medicine for autoimmune diseases was licensed to Livzon Mabpharm for manufacturing in 2017. Kanova has three patent collaboration agreements in place. The company intends to advance earlier-stage candidates toward investigational new drug (IND) status and planned clinical studies. It also plans to use new funding to recruit additional medical personnel to support development.
