Karri develops a data-enabled smart walkie-talkie for children aged 4–10, integrated with a secure smartphone app for parents. The device works as a classic walkie-talkie with channels for kids to communicate with one another and supports communication with parents and relatives via the app. The companion app lets parents send and receive messages, track children via GPS, and enable geo-fencing to define a “safe zone” with automated notifications. Karri is currently testing prototypes and plans to move to mass production. The company raised £775K in pre-seed funding to support product completion and a UK rollout. Proceeds will be used to take the product from prototype testing to mass production and support its UK market launch.
