Karshare operates an on-demand peer-to-peer car-sharing platform that lets people rent their cars to others within their community. The service uses keyless technology so cars are instantly available and renters can book and access vehicles via the app without arranging key handovers. All cars on the platform are fully insured through the service and include breakdown cover. Led by founder Andy Hibbert, Karshare raised £3m in a Pre-Series A funding round. The company plans to use the funds to expand in existing locations including Bristol, Manchester, Coventry and London and to launch in Birmingham, Leeds, Edinburgh and rural communities such as Strathaven and Talybont. Karshare also intends to hire additional talent to grow its team.
