Overview
Kasheesh is a NYC-based digital payment platform that allows anyone to split payment for online purchases across multiple combinations of debit and credit cards using a free, web-based browser extension. The product aims to reduce individual card cost burden per purchase, help users build credit scores and card rewards by spreading spend across cards, and maximize financial privacy by auto-generating a new encrypted VISA or Mastercard number per purchase. Launched in late June 2022 and led by co-founder and CEO Sam Miller, the company has grown organically without marketing. Kasheesh has facilitated over $40 million in transactions to date. It is currently available only in the U.S. and works on Chrome, with expansion to Edge, Firefox, and Safari planned. With the recent financing the company has increased its total funding to $8.5M. Kasheesh provides a free, web-based browser extension that allows U.S. consumers to split online payments across up to 10 debit, credit, and gift cards in any combination. Its platform auto-generates a unique, encrypted card number per purchase and partners with Stripe and Plaid to verify identity and funds. Kasheesh uses proprietary AI to suggest optimal card combinations to maximize rewards and help users avoid maxing out individual cards. The company does not underwrite loans or act as a financial institution, and identity confirmation is based on SSN rather than bank KYC processes. Since a closed launch, Kasheesh has brokered over $11 million in user transactions. The product is currently available only in the U.S. and aims to consolidate existing spending power to improve rewards utilization and support credit-building.
