Overview
Kashimi is a Lithuanian fintech that provides open banking-powered account-to-account (A2A) payment infrastructure for regulated and licensed financial institutions. Its unified API connects institutions to hundreds of banks, enabling secure, real-time A2A payments with built-in regulatory compliance (e.g., PSD2) and seamless scalability across markets. The product is designed for banks, electronic money institutions, fintechs, PSPs, wallets, remittance platforms, FX services and treasuries, enabling rapid deployment of Pay by Bank solutions in weeks while lowering operational costs and improving conversion with smart UX tools. The startup plans to use the new funding to expand in European and UK markets and to advance entry into the US, building on steps begun at the end of 2024. Operating for less than a year, Kashimi has built a team of 10 engineers specializing in open banking and has already started integrations with its first clients. It was also selected to join Plug and Play Tech Center's six-week GOAL program to gain further experience in the US market.
