Kaspard offers a small, discreet ceiling-mounted device that detects falls and 'no return to bed' events without physical contact or images, sending real-time alarms to caregivers. The system provides objective, continuous information to nursing staff and individualises alerts based on each resident's risk profile and mobility. Kaspard reports a 99.3% reliability rate, more than 40,000 operational nights, and says equipped residences have seen falls cut by two-thirds. Large eldercare groups such as Korian and Orpea are using the solution and have given positive feedback. Recent device updates added increased mobility between rooms, enriched activity reports, pager-system integration, and a 3D fall-visualisation tool. The company plans to continue developing features and apply artificial intelligence to anticipate deterioration in elderly health.
