Overview
Keeper Security was co-founded in 2011 by CEO Darren Guccione and CTO Craig Lurey and launched as a mobile password manager. It has since expanded into a full suite of consumer and business offerings covering password, secrets and privileged connection management, plus dark web monitoring, secure file storage, SSO integration, compliance reporting and detailed event logging. The company serves organizations of all sizes, from small home offices to multinational enterprises and large public sector organizations. Since its last financing in August 2020 Keeper has added several hundred employees, acquired remote network access provider Glyptodon, earned FedRAMP and StateRAMP authorizations, opened data centers in Australia, Canada and Japan, and expanded its partner ecosystem across NorAm, EMEA and APAC. Keeper says it will use the new funds to further accelerate product innovation and to catalyze strategic expansion in enterprise password management, secrets management, privileged connection management and privileged access management. Keeper Security offers a patented, zero-knowledge password-security and encryption platform used by millions of consumers and thousands of businesses in over 100 countries. Its product includes dark web monitoring, secure file storage, single-sign-on integration and security-event reporting. The company is led by CEO and co-founder Darren Guccione and CTO and co-founder Craig Lurey. Keeper closed a $60M funding round as a minority investment to accelerate product innovation and expand its global customer base. Insight Partners made the investment and Thomas Krane, Principal at Insight Partners, will join Keeper’s Board of Directors.
