Keeta builds an instant, secure platform to make cross-border payments, aiming to make international payments "as easy as Venmo." Its platform is built from the ground up so the company controls the entire process and offers fintechs and financial institutions access via APIs or custom integrations. The core technology includes a proprietary ledger the company says can process more than 50 million transactions per second and a network of interconnected real-time payment rails. Keeta says this enables cross-border transfers in seconds at costs 50% to 70% lower than traditional options, and it targets payments under $1 million. The company launched recently and is in very early customer stages, initially available by invitation in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, the U.K., and the EU. Revenue plans include transaction fees, and Keeta is focused on B2B transfers now while planning a consumer-facing mobile app.
