Overview
Kejako SA is a Genève-based startup developing minimally invasive surgical and non-invasive laser treatments to address presbyopia by targeting the root cause rather than providing static optical correction. The company has built a proprietary full-eye 3D parametric model combined with multi-physics numerical modeling to compute the eye’s optical and mechanical behavior and simulate disease impacts. That model is already calibrated for visual accommodation analysis and presbyopia simulation and is used to optimize patient-specific treatments and customize procedures. Kejako’s non-invasive approach applies specific spatial patterns and tailored laser energy settings to induce optical and mechanical changes in the lens, aiming to restore dynamic visual accommodation without inducing cataracts. Other applications of the parametric eye model are underway. The startup will use the new funding to accelerate development of its technology.
