Kentucky Chrome Works is a manufacturer of luxury alloy wheels and the exclusive chrome plate supplier for the Corvette, based in Horse Cave, Kentucky. The company began adding chrome plating to RONAL Speedline wheels in 2009 and supplies chrome-plated aluminum alloy wheels for luxury vehicles. KCW and RONAL supply more than four million wheels a year to automakers including General Motors, BMW, Volkswagen, Mercedes and Fiat. The business currently employs 54 people and the new funding is expected to create about 20 additional jobs. The recent capital will be used to expand the company’s capabilities and provide working capital to support operations. As a small company, KCW noted limited access to capital and worked with BizCapital to secure flexible funding for growth.
