Kerno develops problem-solving technology that helps cloud-native developers identify and fix production issues by providing simplified, highly‑curated information on cloud application problems. Its product can be installed with no code instrumentation or sidecar and is currently in testing with early adopters. Kerno says developers can spend up to 70% of their time finding and solving production issues despite substantial investments in observability tools. Founded last year and based in Dublin, the company already counts FTSE companies among its customers. The €1.7m seed funding will be used to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its technology, accelerate time to market through increased engineering capacity, and kickstart scaling efforts. Kerno plans to scale to 100,000 cloud-native developers and grow headcount from 11 to 20 over the next two years.
