Kevala offers the Assessor Platform, an interactive cloud-based grid analytics toolbox that combines public and client data to visualize and model distribution infrastructure. The platform uses large-scale datasets (terabytes) and AI-driven visualization to predict impacts from extreme weather, renewable adoption and electrification. Kevala has nearly the entire U.S. mapped for above-ground distribution infrastructure and sources data from satellite imagery and public records. The company plans to increase deployment of its grid analytics tools and expand services into cybersecurity and national security. Kevala said it will grow its headcount from about 60 employees to around 100 by the end of 2021. The company also intends to expand coverage internationally.
