Keyavi Data Corp. builds self-protecting data security technology that infuses policy-based intelligence directly into files. Its multi-patented platform embeds protection that controls access, refuses unauthorized users, stays aware of surroundings, and reports back to owners across the data lifecycle—at-rest, in-transport, and when in-use. The company offers an API platform and a suite of applications that let data owners allow, revoke, or deny access regardless of copy location or device. Keyavi developed the technology for years and launched its solution in 2020; analyst firm Omdia designated self-protecting data solutions as a new cybersecurity category with Keyavi named as the clear leader. It recently raised a $13M Series A, bringing total funding to $21.3M after an $8.3M seed in early 2021. Proceeds will fund hyper-growth, including expansion into new markets and hiring engineering and other expert talent to meet strong customer demand amid a growing data security market projected to reach $54.2 billion by 2027.
