Kifi provides a tool that automatically saves links users tweet and indexes the content within those links to create a personalized search experience. Its "Kifi for Twitter" feature runs in the background, surfaces previously shared links and makes related recommendations using its Cortex engine and HelpRank algorithm. The product is accessible via a Chrome extension as well as iOS and Android mobile apps, and the extension can inject personal results into Google searches. Kifi has grown to over 60,000 users and says the new Twitter deep search feature is gaining a couple thousand users per day (currently on a waitlist). The company is filing patents on its search engine and recommendation algorithm. Kifi’s team includes former employees from Google, YouTube, Netflix, LinkedIn and other tech firms, and the startup is positioning the product for power users such as media professionals and researchers.
