Kinglet is a Baltimore, MD–based provider of an on-demand online marketplace that connects entrepreneurs and small businesses with office space in as little as 24 hours. Led by CEO Alex Kopicki, the platform seeks to minimize inefficiencies in the leasing process for hosts and guests through flexible monthly terms, collaborative environments and standard agreements. In April 2014 the company completed $500K in angel funding. Backers named in the round included David Williams (CEO of Merkle), Brad Dickerson (CFO of Under Armour) and Chris Brandenburg (co‑founder of Millennial Media). Kinglet intends to use the funds to expand into additional markets such as Washington, DC and Philadelphia in 2015.
