The company sources some produce from its own rooftop garden and pasture-raised meats from Gunthorp Farms and Hoosier Ranch in Indiana. Meals are ordered online in medium and large sizes priced at $12 and $15 respectively, the menu rotates weekly, and the company recently expanded offerings to include breakfast items, sides, smoothies and snacks. Kitchfix closed a $300K seed round led by angel investor Ken Leonard with participation from other prominent Chicago-area angels. The company plans to use the funds to expand its team and operations and move into a 4,987 sq. ft. commercial kitchen and office at 1731 W. Grand Ave. in Chicago by October 2014 to accelerate growth.
