Overview

Klaus builds a customer support product that integrates with CRMs such as Zendesk and Salesforce Service Cloud to automatically review customer conversations from channels like web chat. It uses customer support tickets, manager reviews, and customer satisfaction feedback to train AI that categorizes comments, sorts conversations by complexity, and performs multilingual sentiment analysis to score conversation quality. The platform is currently analyzing about two million customer conversations every day and serves “hundreds” of customers, including Epic Games, SoundCloud and WordPress.com. Klaus competes with MaestroQA, Playvox, Stella Connect, ScopeAI (acquired by Observe.AI) and Zendesk-owned Cleverly. The company employs around 60 people and expects headcount to grow to over 100 within the next six months. Klaus recently closed a €12M Series A and has raised more than $19M in venture capital to date; the new funding is earmarked for product development and further expansion. Klaus offers a platform designed to speed up and simplify internal feedback for large customer support teams, helping improve the quality of human-to-human customer conversations. The product connects via APIs with 17 software suites, including Intercom, Zendesk and Salesforce Service Cloud, and provides dozens of specialized features for giving feedback at scale to hundreds or thousands of agents. Klaus positions itself for a future where AI and chatbots handle transactional interactions while human relationship-driven conversations grow in importance. Since launching in 2019 the remote-first company has signed customers such as Automattic, Epic Games, Wolt, Voi and SoundCloud. The company recently raised funding to accelerate development of its platform. Klaus is a conversation review and quality-assurance platform that plugs into leading help desk platforms to help customer support teams systematically review past interactions and give feedback to agents. Founded in 2018 by Martin Kõiva and Kair Käsper after their experience at Pipedrive, Klaus launched its product six months ago and has already been used to perform over 200,000 conversation reviews. Customers include SoundCloud, Trivago, Wistia, Figma, and Automattic. The product lets companies filter conversations, rate them using customized scorecards, and notify agents of feedback via email or Slack, and it claims to cut the time spent reviewing a conversation by 70%. Klaus raised €1.7 million and plans to use the funds to gain visibility and expand its technical team to develop new features for smarter rating and filtering of conversations. The founders built the product to address QA pain points in support teams, bringing a code-review-like process to customer support.
