Kleo operates the KLEOplatform, a hosted SaaS product that centralizes funds management, philanthropy and ecommerce for K-12 schools, teachers, students and parent‑teacher organizations. The platform creates virtual wallets to aggregate philanthropic and administrative dollars and includes an integrated ecommerce engine that enables purchases without credit cards or requisition forms. All transactions occur inside the Kleo ecosystem, providing donors and funders immediate transparency and traceability, and the product also bundles crowdfunding tools for fundraising and funds distribution. Kleo launched in summer 2012 out of Miami's incubator community and was recognized by the South Florida Business Journal as Startup of the Year. Several large districts, including Los Angeles Unified School District, Miami‑Dade County Public Schools and Albuquerque Public Schools, are using Kleo's technology. The company has closed a $635,000 Series A round led by El Paso Advisors with participation from education‑technology figures such as Blackboard co‑founder Dan Cane.
