Knoetic
228 Park Ave S, Suite 49303, New York, NY, 10003, United States
Overview
Knoetic integrates with HR information systems, applicant tracking systems, and performance and learning management apps to run analyses, generate reports and surface organizational trends. The platform provides recommendations — for example, how to improve retention — and has explored machine learning models to predict drivers of attrition, fast-promoted employees and employees central to department success. Customers include Credit Karma, Calm, Checkr, Mural and Synk, and users gain access to a community forum called CPOHQ with more than 2,000 CPOs and shared playbooks, events and workshops. Knoetic says it grew 500% year over year and currently has a roughly 50-person workforce, with plans to add about a dozen hires. The company was founded out of the pandemic, which it says served as a tailwind for growth. Its reported war chest stands at around $50 million and management says it has several years of runway. Knoetic builds a platform that embeds a referral-only social community of HR leaders into a people-analytics SaaS tool, aiming to give chief people officers both quantitative and qualitative insights. Its Insight Engine provides CPOs with data and community-driven context to help make smarter, holistic workforce decisions and prepare board decks. The company says the platform can help improve employee retention, compensation, and hiring, and counts customers including Lyft, Squarespace, Amplitude, Discord, Dollar Shave Club, and Zapier. Knoetic emerged from stealth with an $18 million Series A led by Accel and has over 1,000 HR professionals in its community. Founded in March 2020 and based in New York City, the startup currently has about 25 employees and expects to grow to north of 40 by year-end. The new capital will be used to build new products and hire a dedicated community team. Longer-term, Knoetic plans to develop prescriptive and predictive analytics models that can forecast turnover and other workforce outcomes as it aggregates more data.
