Knoma offers learners access to loans of up to £10,000 with zero fees and zero interest that are paid directly to partner schools and repaid by students over 12 months. Its product integrates as a 'Pay with Knoma' button on partners' checkouts, allowing schools to recruit and onboard new students. Knoma's business model charges merchant fees to partner schools rather than fees to end users. At launch it is live with several tech and coding schools including Code Institute, Wild Code School, CodeClan, NorthCoders and Learning People. The company is initially focusing on the UK market and plans to expand globally in the coming years. Knoma launched after raising more than £21 million in combined debt and equity funding, and is led by founder and CEO Brett Shanley.
