Known Medicine’s ODIN (Oncology Diagnostics Inference Network) platform uses proprietary M3DUSA 3D organoid models and a bespoke IRIS image-analysis pipeline to predict how a patient’s tumor will respond to specific treatments. The M3DUSA model is formulated with automation-friendly hydrogel components and includes cancer, stromal, and immune cells to better recreate the tumor microenvironment. The company combines high-content images with machine learning and high-dimensional -omics datasets to identify which cells respond to treatments and potential resistance mechanisms. Known Medicine is building a purpose-built 3D cell culture dataset that the company says grows by thousands of images with each patient sample. Data can be provided to oncologists as a decision-support tool or supplied via partnerships with biopharmaceutical companies for clinical trial or companion-diagnostic patient selection.
