KnownOrigin operates a platform that showcases and sells digital artwork and NFTs, aiming to democratise the art world and simplify transaction processes for creators. Launched out of a Manchester basement in 2018, the company works with over 5,000 creators selling to collectors around the world. In the past year KnownOrigin generated more than $30 million in sales and saw a ten-fold increase in unique collectors and creators. The company has partnered with brands including Adidas, Netflix, and Adobe. It has implemented a royalties system to ensure independent artists receive royalties instantly on secondary sales. KnownOrigin plans to reinvest the new funding to expand its reach and further support artists in the space.
