Kokoroe is a French online marketplace that lets adults find, book and manage one-to-one courses across a wide range of subjects. Five months after launch the platform hosts 2,500 teachers covering more than 300 different courses, with top categories including English, computers and IT, guitar, cooking, makeup, dance, couture, math, piano and photography. Teachers get profile pages to promote their services while the site handles payments, reservations and provides a calendar for scheduling. Kokoroe charges a €2.50 fixed fee plus a 10% commission on every course. The company raised a $280,000 (€250,000) seed round from a group of angel and institutional backers. Next steps include expanding to Germany and other European countries, building a mobile app and adding gamification features to boost engagement among its core 25–35-year-old users.
