Kopperfield

113 Cherry Street PMB 81487, Seattle, Washington, 98104, United States

Overview

Kopperfield provides a platform that lets homeowners receive estimates, schedule installations, and pay for EV charger installs with instant pricing, online scheduling, and handling of incentives and rebates. The company streamlines the process for electricians by managing advertising, communications, scheduling and billing so contractors can pick available jobs. Founders Mark Wong and Jesse Vaughan conceived the idea after facing difficulties electrifying their own homes; Wong previously led product for Stripe’s Connect platform. Kopperfield launched a pilot in Seattle a few months ago with strong partner uptake and plans to expand into two new metro areas later this year. The startup intends to broaden its scope beyond chargers to other home electrification projects such as heat pumps and induction stoves. Kopperfield cites a potential total addressable market for home electrification of about $150 billion per year by the end of the decade and will use the seed funding to grow the team and expand geographically.
