Overview
Kotcha is a France-based startup that recreates the full athlete-coach relationship through an AI running platform featuring four virtual specialists: a Head Coach, Nutritionist, Data Analyst, and Personal Trainer. Co-founded by marathon icon Eliud Kipchoge alongside Ben Dupont, Michel-André Chirita, Dimitri Dor, and the NN Running Team, the app continuously adapts plans by reviewing each runner’s data and feedback every week. Users receive pre-run briefings, post-run debriefs, and can ask on-demand questions about training, nutrition, or recovery. The company positions itself between low-cost generic training apps (~€20/month) and expensive human coaches (~€100/month), aiming to make elite-level coaching accessible to a wider audience. Kotcha has already tested its product with more than 300 runners, demonstrating early traction ahead of a broader launch. The newly secured capital provides the financial runway to roll out the platform across Europe and other markets while refining its AI models. This pre-seed funding round raises Kotcha’s total external financing to €3.5 million.
