Upside Energy, founded in 2013 and led by CEO Graham Oakes, operates a Virtual Energy Store™ that aggregates unused energy from devices at households and small business sites to sell balancing services to grid operators. The service helps reduce the need to run polluting and expensive power stations during peak demand by using distributed, inherent storage.
