Overview
Kratikal is an end-to-end, product-based cybersecurity solutions company that provides a complete suite of manual and automated security testing services. Founded in 2013, it counts Kotak Mahindra Bank, Aditya Birla Capital, Himalaya Wellness, Drivezy, Cars24, and Pine Labs among its major clients. The company raised $1 million in a pre-series A funding round led by Gilda VC, Art Venture, and Rajeev Chitrabhanu. It will use the funds to optimize product development, improve technology infrastructure, and scale up its workforce. No revenue or user metrics were disclosed in the article. Kratikal Tech provides cybersecurity services including vulnerability assessment and security auditing and conducts training sessions for corporates, law enforcement agencies, and educational institutes. The company says it has trained over 5,000 candidates from more than 131 countries through its online modules and serves over 30 clients across corporates, police departments, law enforcement agencies and individuals in India, the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Founded in 2013 by five NIT Allahabad alumni (Pavan Kushwaha, Paratosh Bansal, Dip Jung Thapa, Prashant Pandey and Ankit Singh) after an email account hack, the Delhi-based startup has a team of 15 employees. Kratikal is developing a software-as-a-service tool to automate its security testing services with built-in artificial technology, aiming to lower the cost of security testing for SMEs. The company will use the newly raised seed funds for product development and building training modules. It competes with Chandigarh-based TAC InfoSec and Delhi-based Lucideus Tech in the Indian cybersecurity market.
