Kurtosis provides developer tooling that simplifies building and testing for web3 applications, supporting Ethereum, Avalanche and NEAR ecosystems. The two-year-old company was founded by former Palantir engineering leads Galen Marchetti and Kevin Today to address gaps in secure test and dev environments. Its product emphasizes advanced testing capabilities such as shadow forking to let developers use mainnet-like data without financial risk. The company raised a $20M Series A to accelerate product development and hire engineers and product experts. Kurtosis plans to release a new product within six to 12 months and continue building tools to let organizations spin up private and configurable test nets. The funding follows a $2.5M seed round in August 2021 and will be used primarily to expand the team and speed product delivery.
