Kusari

85 Florida Hill Road, Ridgefield, Connecticut, 06877, United States

Overview

Kusari is developing a supply chain security platform built on the open source project Guac to help organizations discover components, map ownership, and assess risky dependencies. The platform can identify most-used components, determine ownership of apps, check policy compliance, and show changes between software versions. For remediation it can compute a vulnerability’s “blast radius,” trace the origin of exploits, and provide patching guidance. Kusari follows an open source plus SaaS business model: the team validated the approach through open source and plans to release a SaaS product later this year. The startup was founded in 2022 by Tim Miller, Michael Lieberman and Parth Patel, with founders bringing experience from Citi and Raytheon and contributions to Guac. The company raised $8 million across pre-seed and seed rounds to build its SaaS platform and expand the team from eight to about 15 employees.
