Overview
Kwik provides last-mile delivery, e-commerce warehousing/fulfilment and merchant-facing software that matches businesses with independent riders and logistics partners via an asset-light marketplace model. The company launched in Lagos in 2019 and has expanded to Abuja, onboarding more than 100,000 merchants, with over 75% weekly active users. Kwik charges an average commission of about 20% per delivery and says deliveries can take less than two hours. It has integrated payment services, which now represent more than 10% of its GMV, and plans to build further financial services including a B2B lending marketplace. The team positions Kwik as a merchant “super app” that bundles selling, delivery and financing tools in one mobile experience. The company intends to use new funding to accelerate expansion across additional Nigerian cities and grow its merchant base to 800,000 by year-end.
