LABOMAR
Via N. Sauro, 35/I, Istrana, Treviso, 31036, Italy
Overview
Labomar operates in the nutraceutical sector, formulating and producing probiotics, lactic ferments, cognitive-decline products and aging-related solutions. Over the past five years it has grown mainly through M&A, completing five acquisitions, the latest being Finland-based Pharmia. The firm is building a new production hub (Hub L6) at its Istrana headquarters and expanding its Canadian subsidiary while exploring high-potential Asian markets after exhibiting in Shanghai, Bangkok and soon New Delhi. Management intends to double the size of the group in the medium term and is open to additional tuck-in deals that strengthen the supply chain. The company was listed on Euronext Growth Milan from October 2020 until September 2023, when it was taken private via a tender offer led by CEO Walter Bertin and Charterhouse Capital Partners. Bertin says a future IPO on a more liquid exchange remains possible. The business is now equipped with a more flexible capital structure to support its 2028 industrial plan.
