Overview
Labrys Biologics is developing RN-307, a humanized anti‑CGRP monoclonal antibody for the treatment of chronic migraine. With the close of its Series A, the company acquired worldwide rights to RN-307 from Pfizer. RN-307 has completed Phase 1 trials in more than 74 patients and Labrys expected to initiate Phase 2 clinical trials in 2013. Pfizer received an upfront payment and is eligible for milestone payments, royalties on any sales, and a liquidity payment if Labrys is acquired. The company was founded by Corey Goodman, Ph.D., who serves as chairman, and has named Steve James as president and CEO. Nina Kjellson of InterWest Partners and Mike Powell of Sofinnova Ventures joined the company’s board in conjunction with the financing.
