LaCollection partners with museums, galleries and artists to issue authenticated limited digital editions (NFTs) and display them on its proprietary platform. Led by CEO Jean-Sebastien Beaucamps, the platform allows users to purchase NFTs of works by artists such as Hokusai and Turner using a credit card. Launched in September 2021 and based in Paris, the company has an exclusive agreement with The British Museum. It achieved seven-digit revenue in four months from an NFT sale dedicated to Katsushika Hokusai. The company plans to use new funding to further develop the platform, secure partnerships with more museums and artists, expand its global team across Europe, Asia and the US, and invest in a social and climate-positive roadmap. Prior to this round it raised $400,000 in pre-seed from founders of Sorare and Ledger among others.
