Land Moto makes the District, an electric motorbike that sits between an e-bike and a motorcycle and can be limited to Class 2 operation or opened to >70 MPH in performance mode. The bike is powered by one or two large, Land-designed Core batteries; the largest nominal pack is 5.5 kWh and yields roughly 80–100 miles of range. Land is positioning its batteries for broader uses beyond propulsion, including off-grid and home-backup applications, and is launching an accessory called the Power Tap that adds a 400W AC outlet and multiple USB-C ports. At CES the company showed a redesigned battery with USB-C, USB-A, an AC outlet and solar input ports intended to slot into the bike with minimal modification. The team says it will invest in in-house battery manufacturing and design to ramp production and further develop consumer inputs/outputs. Financially, the company has raised a total of $10 million to date after a new $3 million infusion in 2024. Land designs and manufactures electric mobility products and a portable power platform called CORE. Its flagship vehicle, The District, is part of a transitional eMoto ecosystem engineered to be compact, lightweight, and versatile for a range of riders. The District offers four speed settings, from e-bike (27 mph) up to e-motorcycle (over 70 mph), and can be taken on and off road. The CORE portable battery pack is a connected power source intended for businesses and consumers to help reduce their carbon footprint. The company is led by CEO and Founder Scott Colosimo and operates from a newly renovated 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Land recently closed a Series A round (amount undisclosed) to support production, shipping, and product development.
