Landscape Mobile builds Sight, a mobile app (iOS and Android) that lets users take screenshots of what they're reading and then scours the web to find and save the corresponding article to the app's clipboard. The company's core technology centers on image understanding, searching and readability. Sight aims to simplify sharing and organizing mobile content where copying and pasting is cumbersome. Landscape Mobile formally launched in August 2013; co-founders Yue Zhuge and Tian Bai began developing the technology then. The company's first product, Ivy Gallery, was a cloud-based photo gallery released in November 2013. Landscape Mobile raised a $1.85 million seed round from IDG Capital and plans to apply its smart-imaging identification and retrieval technology beyond articles, including areas like e-commerce.
