Overview
Landseed develops a three-layer commercial model combining AI-enabled sensor hardware (the Earth Pulse Node), an in-situ–measured ecological commodity called Earth Credits, and a structured ecological reference-data feed called Earth Signals. The company operates as a verifier-only entity: it owns and runs the monitoring infrastructure, records Nature Rights Deeds, mints and registers Earth Credits, and licenses Earth Signals, but does not trade credits, operate an exchange, or manage funds. Founded by Greg Curtis and Alex Roessner with founding Chief Scientist Eric Dinerstein, Landseed focuses on making ecological output visible, verifiable, and licensable across markets including insurance, capital markets, corporate disclosure, and conservation research. The company has initial deployment partners across four continents and is headquartered in Ventura, Calif. Landseed has raised $500,000 in total funding following the Richard King Mellon Foundation’s $400,000 investment and is using the capital to accelerate deployment and commercialization of its measurement layer and three-layer model.
