Founded in 2025 by Samiksha Agarwal, Lane builds a technology-enabled driving education platform that blends structured lessons, RTO/licensing support, and a sensor-backed driver intelligence system. The company has delivered over 30,000 hours of instruction to more than 3,100 learners in 18 months and refined its safety-focused training through 400+ hours of pilot classes, assessing instructors across 15 driving parameters. Nearly 70% of its customers already held a licence when they enrolled, which Lane cites as evidence of the gap between licensing and real-world driving proficiency. Lane is expanding services beyond education into vehicle purchases and RTO services, noting that about 60% of its customers intend to buy their first car. Its longer-term plan is to build an AI-powered automotive platform that converts sensor-based driving sessions into individual behavioural profiles with potential applications in insurance risk assessment, vehicle performance data, and road-safety incentive systems. The company has also adopted a micro-market instructor model where qualified instructors can earn between ₹80,000 and ₹90,000 a month.
