Founded in Belgium in 2004, Lansweeper offers a platform that scans corporate networks to identify all assets, including servers, routers, workstations, printers, monitors, and installed software. The product gives IT personnel a single source of truth on hardware, software, and users across an organization, improving visibility into blind spots and surfacing endpoints wherever they reside. Lansweeper detects assets the moment they connect to a network without requiring software installation and provides real-time inventorizing to support security, software, and licensing management. The company counts enterprise clients such as IBM, Allianz, Samsung, Nestlé, and Maersk. In 2018 Lansweeper received a majority investment from private equity firm Dovesco, and it has now secured a €130 million ($158 million) minority investment from Insight Partners. Lansweeper is using the new investment to launch Lansweeper Cloud, a modern cloud-based interface that integrates its IT asset discovery capabilities to enable broader use of the data across organizations.
