Lantern Pharma
1920 McKinney Ave. 7th Floor, Dallas, Texas, 75201, United States
Overview
Lantern Pharma focuses on accelerating cancer drug approval by combining advanced genomics, big data and AI to identify predictive biomarkers and tailor trials to responsive patients. Its strategy is to rescue or acquire late-stage clinical drugs that showed efficacy in small patient subsets and repurpose them through molecular profiling. The company is developing targeted biomarker panels and AI-based algorithms to stratify patients and reduce development time and cost. Lantern's lead candidates include Tavocept® (LP-300), a phase 2 clinical candidate with prior efficacy in a subset of non-small cell lung cancer patients, and LP-184, which has shown promising early anti-tumor activity especially in gynecologic tumors. Lantern has out-licensed Irofulven-1 for up to $20M and received an $800,000 collaborative ICIP grant, and it has collaborations with Cancer Genetics Inc. and Intuition Systems to support genomics, testing and AI infrastructure. The company will use the Series A proceeds to continue development of its two lead drug candidates and further advance its big data and AI platform.
