Lantum provides a purpose-built healthcare staffing platform that lets care centers list shifts and lets qualified clinicians find, sign up for and get paid for available work based on skills, location and time. The platform verifies qualifications, creates a searchable database of active and less-active clinicians, and enables organizations to move staff across adjacent operations more efficiently. Lantum works extensively with the U.K. National Health Service — 20 of the NHS’s 40 integrated care systems and thousands of providers have signed up — and in the last 12 months booking volumes more than doubled while the company onboarded 14,000 additional clinicians. The company’s staff count has doubled over the past year. Cedars‑Sinai is a strategic backer and is using Lantum for ICU scheduling as part of the startup’s first major U.S. deployment. Lantum plans to use the new funding to continue staffing up, develop tools for U.K. customers and support U.S. expansion, with Cedars‑Sinai described as a beachhead; the company also drew significant investor interest and may raise more in this round. Network Locum is a London-based online network that matches doctors with empty shifts in hospitals and GP practices. The platform stores everything practices need to know about a doctor, and necessary documents and information become available once a doctor has been accepted for their first job. Doctors can negotiate job rates and times directly with practice managers before applying. Launched four years ago, the company has built a database of 40k doctors across Britain. Led by CEO Melissa Morris, Network Locum plans to use new funding to launch a mobile app and augment its sales force. The company recently raised £5.3m in venture capital from BGF Ventures.
