8 Industrial Way Ste C6, Salem, New Hampshire, 03079, United States
Overview
Laser Light Engines develops, manufactures and markets high-performance, laser-driven color modules and complete illumination engines for high-brightness projection, signage and lighting applications. The company has demonstrated despeckling solutions for white and silver screens and a laser-enabled 3D system that increases brightness and can eliminate the need for a silver screen. LLE plans to accelerate commercialization and product rollouts and to strengthen its engineering, sales and manufacturing operations using the new funding. Management is engaged in discussions and beta testing with leading entertainment companies and has been invited to speak at major industry conferences. The company is positioning its technology for cinema as well as markets such as signage, displays, lighting and location-based entertainment. Financially, LLE has raised $27 million in private funding since its 2008 inception. Laser Light Engines designs, develops and manufactures OEM RGB laser-driven light sources that deliver higher brightness than lamp-based systems by using narrow laser beams. The company intends to commercialize its RGB laser technology initially for digital cinema projectors. LLE also plans to target other entertainment applications, including theme park attractions, rental/staging and digital signage. It will develop a custom laser engine for IMAX digital projection systems and make IMAX the exclusive large-format cinema user for up to three years. Per a prior agreement, LLE will provide outsourced research and development for IMAX. The company closed a $13M Series B to accelerate product development and expand its engineering and marketing organizations.
