LawVu employs 125+ people, about 65% of whom are based in New Zealand, and has invested in Wellington offices while remaining headquartered in Tauranga. Total funding is about $55 million NZD, including a recent $15 million NZD investment to drive international expansion into Australia, the US, and the UK. LawVu provides a cloud-based workspace that centralizes matter management, contracts, documents, e-billing and outsourced work for in-house legal teams. The platform also offers analytics to surface demand, team capacity, law firm performance and other metrics normally hidden in email and files. LawVu serves teams from a single lawyer up to more than 300 (with fastest adoption among teams of roughly five to 500), and has users in 30 countries. Its annual recurring revenue tripled in 2020 and continues to grow; roughly two-thirds of recurring revenue now comes from the U.S. and Australia. Customers include Telstra, AMP, Linktree, Expedia, PwC and Instacart. The company plans to hire U.S. leadership and open U.S. offices while continuing to develop its technology.
